It has officially been 3 years since the day my life changed. Starting out in a grandpa chair and on a trek, I have overcome the expectations of nurses, doctors, and many others. It has been a rough time but with the support of my family, girlfriend, and my own mentality I and the people around me have surpassed the overwhelming thoughts and struggles of a spinal cord injury. I started driving and love the feeling of freedom and independence. Only through the support, generosity, and love of everyone was this able to happen. I am still attending Cerritos College and work out at Project Walk. The continued support and fundraisers are the only way I have the chance to proceed and get closer to standing up and walking away from this chair.
